Verse Matrix for
The Book of Revelation

Presented here is the verse matrix for the Book of Revelation. Many do not realize it, but the Book of Revelation is a beautiful tapestry weaving together the threads of Scripture from the past, present and for the future.

Among the masses there are few who appreciate the artistry of a fine Persian tapestry or are aware of the themes that are often hidden there in its multicolored thread. We use this analogy here to disclose the Book of Revelation, pointing out the various threads and showing how they are interwoven.

Some may be appalled, because they prefer simplicity in their diet, music and literature, but here they are invited to a feast of many delightful dishes. It is not a random smorgasbord, but rather a carefully and Divinely crafted menu giving us a taste of a future heavenly banquet. It is in a sense also holographic, sometimes recounting and evaluating the same theme from many different perspectives, such as that from each of the Seven Major Religions/Cultures in the world.

There are those who prefer the monotony of a single theme repetitively delivered to them each Sunday. They will be repelled by ideas so foreign to them just as some prefer the well known sounds of a bagpipe or the conventional melodies of western music, and care not for complications of a classical symphony represented in the variety of notes and annotation for each of the many kinds of instruments in the orchestra.

The Book of Revelation uses the powerful device of recursiveness, just as does classical music and much of the mystery of life as represented in the mathmatical analysis of the double helix. For those who are open to learning more about the Infinite Variety of the Creator that will be eternally available to them, then recognition of what is being presented in the Book of Revelation may well be a turning point in their life.

There are many threads in the Book of Revelation but presented here are those that this author feels are the most important to comprehend.

The Seven Churches Threads

The most obvious threads are the SIX Seven Churches Threads which one follows by reading through each of the chapters in order. The Book of Revelation is the Message of Jesus Christ to the Seven Major Religions in the world.

The SIX threads are lists of verses and are like six strings of pearls or six strings of jeweled beads. Each jeweled bead may be thought of as being a diamond, a ruby, etc. (a similar actual list in Rev.21:18-19). The astounding thing here, is that Every string/thread has the exact same seven jewels/beads in the exact same order, the jewels representing the seven world religions in the order of their appearance on earth - are usually represented by an angel in the verses.

Alternatively, the reader may wish to select one of the linked sub-threads of any church/religion that particularly interests them.
These links on the left of the following table may prove to be the most interesting for many people as they look up about their own or another religion.

The pink box contains the one and only one single instance that may not be in order, but it has a very special significance as is explained in the text.

The SEVEN Angels/Churches/Religions/World Cultures/Manifestations of God - are referred to in 17 different identities/groups of SEVEN in the Book of Revelation.
1:4 Churches
1:4 Spirits
1:12 Golden Candlesticks
1:16 Stars
4:5 Lamps
5:1 Seals
5:6 Horns
5:6 Eyes
8:2 Trumpets
10:3 Thunders
12:3 Heads
12:3 Crowns
15:1 Plagues
15:7 Golden Vials
17:9 Mountains
17:10 Kings

Sometimes, as with the plagues, vials, and horns, what happens to the religions/cultures is not pleasant when those religions and cultures turn away from the path they are supposed to follow, and indeed in all cultures often becoming quite perverted even to the point of being associated with the bad beast.

Rev1:20 and Rev4:5 and Rev5:6 make very clear all identities/groups are identical, just being different archetype symbols. As Rev1:20 says, this was the MYSTERY and a part of what kept the Book of Revelation sealed until the 'Time of the End'.

The Four Good Beasts Thread

Aside for the Seven Religions Threads, one of the longest threads throughout the Book of Revelation, although with relatively few verses, is the Four Good Beasts Thread. As with the other threads, there are many interpretations extant of the symbolism involved. Acceptance of one interpretation does not necessarily exclude others because it is possible to hold multiple views simultaneously.

The Afterword for Chapter Four has charts that show the amazing linkage and correspondence between the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation regarding the Beasts both Good and Bad.

The Islamic Red Dragon / Beast Thread

It is astounding to Christian readers that so much of the Book of Revelation is about Islam, as seen in the Seven Churches/Angels thread above, and now dealing with the Red Dragon. Nevertheless, it was the next religion to follow Christianity and thus was a primary one for Jesus Christ to address.

It is not astounding to Muslims, because they accept the Bible, believe in Jesus Christ and fully expect His return as foretold in the Book of Revelation, although their interpretations vary from sect to sect, just as do the interpretations among the various Christian sects.

Rev.11:7 and 13:1-4 speak of a beast,
but describe the beast in the same manner as the dragon is described,
so they are included in the dragon thread.
Rev.16:10 speaks of the seat of the beast, which is really the dragon,
because the dragon is the source of the beast.

The Babi / Baha'i Threads

Truly, anyone who is not a Baha'i should not bother reading these two threads because they will be non-meaningful to anyone who is not a Baha'i. The non-Baha'i reader should concern themselves to thoroughly understood some of the other threads so as to be convinced of the validity of the overall presentation.

Recognition of the Bab and Baha'u'llah comes through the power of the Holy Spirit and for intellectual confirmation one should master the Most Clear Proof, mentioned many times throughout this book.

Once one has recognized the validity of the Baha'i Faith, then it is beneficial to understand the roles that the Bab and Baha'u'llah play throughout the Book of Revelation.

The Bab was the first of the Twin Manifestations and what we call the Forerunner or the First Trumpet. While the Bab is mentioned many times in the commentary the purpose of the selected verses in this thread is to show the continuity of His Revelation to the overall purpose of the Book of Revelation.

The Book of Revelation is really a message from Jesus Christ to all the world's religions/cultures about the Manifestation in "the end times" who will bring God's Message and Plan to the whole of the earth. Consequently, Baha'u'llah is mentioned many, many times in the commentary and the purpose of the few verses selected for this thread is to show the continuity in the Book of Revelation to the overall purpose of Baha'u'llah's Revelation.
