Preppers have concerns that do not occur in the thinking of most other people.
The Great Issue
What we are proposing and doing is totally legal (Now) - but there is lots of opposition. The greatest threat is if the government decides to not allow it.
At the time of a Great Catastrophe - things change.
You must ask yourself these FIVE questions!
ONE. If the government comes and says they want your weapons -
will you give them to them?
I will.
Under time of martial law the government plans to take away all the public's guns. Don't know if that will work. Only law abiding citizens like myself will turn in their guns. The criminals don't register their guns now and won't turn them in then. They may get shot. I will say for the enforcers, "Go for it". I am all for martial law. I sure don't want anarchy.
They did that at Katrina. They did it in the towns of the Old West - where the sheriffs confiscated the weapons before allowing one to enter the town. I won't die defending my bows and arrows. (I don't own a gun.) Those who are powerful and control the armies (public or private), probably are not about to turn in their guns -
but that is another story.
TWO. Will you turn in your gold when they ask you to?
Not a problem for me.
I don't own a bar of gold and the Sheriff has already come and searched. Obedient citizens turned in their gold in the 1930's when it was made illegal for them to own it. If they can find it, they will take it.
THREE. Will you turn in your stockpiles of food?
We are not talking about just a week or two supply. If you have more, they will come around to gather it up. So will you give it up? Don't think I really have a choice - when I don't have a gun. Actually, if you have read about Ark Two you know we have a different plan. But, just like gold - if they can find it they will take it.
FOUR. Will you turn in your Bible?
Or other religious books when they tell you to? I won't, but that is where I draw the line. Happened before in North America. The Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons and others have fought great moral battles in our history. If you follow that subject, you know that there are battles going on about it now. Yep, I am willing to go jail or be executed over that. But that is just me. You have to make your own decision.
FIVE. Will you turn in your 2-way radio?
It will be considered a terrorist weapon.
When there is NO OTHER means of communication, no telephone, newspapers, radio or TV. In fact no electrical power, or the ability to travel anywhere - will you turn in your two-way radio? It has happened before in North America. During the Second World war - radios were confiscated on the West Coast because the government was concerned about espionage. Whole categories of good loyal American citizens were put into concentration camps.
But that was then - and this is now -
What will you do? Freedom of religion and freedom of press/communication are where I draw the line. It may be different for you. I am not telling you to not be a good Canadian or U.S. citizen, and to not be obedient to your government if they ask you for your radio.
Someone who is not inclined to give up their radio cannot have a radio with a big tall antenna. They can't have a radio that a radio range finder can tell where the signal is coming from. They cannot have a radio that is too big and bulky to move without a vehicle. They can't have a radio that isn't easily protected from EMP.
Yes, this radio is designed for someone with concerns like that, and besides it is very inexpensive compared to other radios, and it is very easy to use. If you know someone who would want a radio like that, please tell them about this one.
However, most people are not interested in the things that we have been talking about. Those who are - are called preppers. They make up less than 1% of the population. I hope you can help us find them.

Legalities
From naysayers about our project you will hear much about the legalities. These vary somewhat from country to country. Basically, you will hear:
a. About import and export regulations of the equipment.
b. That is is only legal for licensed Advanced Hams to use PSK31.
c. That PSK31 frequencies vary from country to country.
d. That it is illegal for regular Hams to use the PSK31 frequencies.
e. That it is illegal to sell to non-Hams radios that can transmit on the specified frequencies.
f. That it has become illegal to sell kits that can be built into the desired radios.
g. That new approval requirements have now to be met from the regulatory bodies to sell the amplifiers.
h. That the government has put in place Executive Orders to confiscate the radios.
i. And the list will just go on and on as the naysayers will try to say why we cannot or should not be successful.
Those who are preppers will understand that it is because of these problems that they are preppers and will help us work towards finding and implementing the solutions. Once again this is why it is important to participant and be active in the organization so as to make this work for you.
It is obviously not prudent to get into public discussions and debate about the solutions. Such an activity simply reinforces the naysayers who wish to see our project fail. As you participate in the project you will come to see and understand the solutions.
